Louis Vuitton City Guides: Barcelona
While we may already know that Barcelona is extraordinary, Louis Vuitton’s perspective certainly adds a unique touch. To celebrate the 37th Louis Vuitton America’s Cup in Barcelona this year, the Maison is launching an extensive city guide on August 23rd. Despite its charming textured green cover, this comprehensive travel book is a formidable competitor to Lonely Planet, detailing 350 destinations.

Louis Vuitton enlisted Sergio Caballero, co-founder of the Sónar festival, to offer a playful and distinctive view of the well-visited city. Caballero aims to showcase the contrasts and diversity that define great cities. His guide includes a variety of Barcelona’s many aspects—soccer stadiums, electronic music, tapas bars, and nightclubs, along with contemporary art hubs, flamenco, open-air markets, and street flea markets. A previously unpublished photo series by Pascal Aimar brings Caballero’s selections to life, highlighting the vibrant cultural assets of this “rebellious Catalan destination.”
Louis Vuitton’s collections often hint at future trends, a reflection of their ability to stay attuned to the pulse of modern cities. With this latest city guide, Barcelona joins the ranks of Paris, New York, London, and Tokyo, as part of the Maison’s ongoing celebration of the world’s most captivating cities.
